New Type 4 Cylinder Head with "Square Port", 1978 to 1983 Type 4 VW Engine
Will fit 1800cc and 2000cc engines
This head comes with 39.3mm intake valves and 33mm exhaust valves.
"Square Port" heads are identified by the use of a Square hole gasket Exhaust gasket rather than a copper ring one used on Oval Port Heads.
VW Switched to the "Square Port" head in mid 1978, it's best to verify what you have before spending big bucks on heads and shipping.
It is strongly advised to replace both heads at the same time for optimal performance.
