This is a commonly rusted piece that bolts on top of the chassis, saddling the tunnel, running outward to the Heater Channel area on the body.
Requires welding to install.
Note that the Bakelite Heater Tubes bolt to this piece, and route the heat from the heater box to the heater channel.
These also fit the 1946 through 1964 Beetle's, but in these earlier applications you will have to modify the heater hole, since on the late models this hole is oval, but on the earlier models the hole is round.
