This is also the correct plug if you have the later Mexican or China made cylinders Type 1 heads with the longer reach M14 spark plugs

Platinum plugs are more resistant to fouling, last longer, and are better suited to performance engines and wasted spark set ups due to the double duty the have to go through.

Note that these spark plug the end does not screw off and you will need to use the non VW (Normal) style ignition leads
