This H4 headlamp unit fits all Kombi 1968 and on, Beetles from 1973 to 1979. 

 
There are two types of head lamps fitted to the Kombi’s, Type 3's and Beetle's, and this listed here is what is referred to as the “Semi Sealed” unit, as the lens and the reflector are all one part and not to be confused with the more common “3 Piece” set up with the surround, lens and reflector making up the head lamp.
 
The easiest way to identify what kind you have is if you have one screw visible holding on the chrome surround of the head lamp, then you have the semi sealed head lamp set up. (This screw removes the surround and lets you adjust the head lamp with the screws on the bracket that comes with the head lamp)
 
If you can see three screws holding the chrome surround on you have the more common “3 piece” head lamp set up that uses the reflected listed here.
 
A bulb is not supplied with this unit and should be ordered separately here, please not that this is the more common H4 Bulb.
 
 
Please note these headlamps are for vehicles driven on the left hand side of the road, and are correct for New Zealand and Australian roads.
