  • EMPI Hide-Away Exhaust System VW Beetle 1300cc to 1600cc Style engines
The EMPI High Mount (Hide-away) Muffler and Header fits Standard and Super Beetles with 1300cc to 1600cc based engines. 
 
This will also fit Early Kombi's with some cutting and welding to the Muffler tubing.
 
This VW Exhaust System can be used with stock heater boxes or J-tubes. The header (or extractor) is made from 1 3/8" tubing and ends at an offset, 1 o'clock positioned, small 3 bolt flange. The single high mount muffler is secured to the right side cylinder head for increased ground clearance and mounts with the included mounting gasket between the muffler and the header.
 
Heat exchanger clamps are not included whenever installing a new exhaust system.
 
Will not Fit Type 3's.
