Axle tube gaskets are used on VW swing axle transmissions between the case and the 6 bolt flange that holds the axle tube on.
These are also considered shims to help adjust the axle tube.
You will need to start with 6 shims and remove 1 at a time until the axle has a steady but controlled drop.
