Headlight Wire Tube (Rubber), 1968 and on Beetle and Super Beetle Sedan and Convertible,
These are the critical rubber tube which runs between the front quarter panel, and the headlamp bucket on the guard. This keeps the headlight wiring safe and dry.
These are often cracked or missing, and water, rocks, sand, and gravel are destroying the delicate headlight wires.
To install these you must use a needle or end of a paperclip, shoved into the headlight bulb end of the plug. This releases the lock tab on the slip on wire end, and allows you to wiggle the wire out of the plug. Do all 3. Fish the wires through the new boot, put the boot into the holes on the body and headlight bucket, then re-install the wire ends into the clip, and plug it back in.
