The stock VW clutch release bearing clip (The "U" shaped design) is a poor design, these heavy duty clips go a long way to prevent the release bearing falling off the clutch fork, and are a must replacement part when any work is being carried out on the clutch, the new "Pig Tail" design holds the release bearing on much better than the stock design, fits all Beetles, Kombi's Type 3's and Karmann Ghia's up to 1971
